Monica grew up in Sydney's west, drawing pictures and doing ballet in her mother's ballet school.
Her desire was to be a ballerina or artist. Moving into fitness was an easy transition, but life has it curves, and Monica moved into teaching yoga for her health and recovery.
And what a relief was yoga.
Yoga is all about letting go and finding yourself and peace. Monica holds Beach Yoga and Yin classes on the Redcliffe Peninsula, and it's an awesome way to start your day.
As an artist, Monica's passion extends to children's books, portraiture and figurative.
Her style is traditional-contemporary-modern- but it's hard to define who and what we are anyway.
Being creative is a wonderful way to reach out and connect with others whilst connecting with yourself.
All of Monica's work is about creativity, connection and growing compassion.
As a full-time artist, Monica runs some sessions from her Art Gallery in Margate.
Stories are how we connect and communicate.
Community is an important part of Monica's work as she strives to bring connection through her art, books and yoga classes.
Her book Yoga for Little Bears was shortlisted for the Moreton Bay Innovation awards in 2016.
Her current work includes Virtues with Yoga Bear and Yoga Cards to be released in 2018.
